TPG Growth Leads Investment In Gro Intelligence

Fort Worth-based private equity investor TPG Growth is the lead investor in a round for agricultural data analytics provider Gro Intelligence, TPG said today. Size of the investment was not announced. Gro Intelligence raised a Series A-2 financing, which was led by TPG Growth and also included Data Collective and un-named family offices. Gro Intelligence--with operations in New York, Nairobi, and San Francisco--provides search and predictive analytics for the agriculture market, using machine learning and other information to make predictions on the global food and agriculture industry. TPG said the investment was sourced through a strategic relationship with EchoVC, which invests in technology deals in sub-Saharan Africa.
