Mavenir Buys Aquto

Richardson-based Mavenir, which develops products for mobile network operators, said on Thursday that it acquired Aquto, a developer of a platform used for sponsored data and data rewards. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Aquota's platform is used to provide additional data to users for actions such as making an in-app purchase, taking certain actions, and more. Mavenir said those services encourage consumers to engage more with mobile operators, and ultimately result in those consumers buying more data.
