Austin Group Launches Blockchain Effort

Is Austin the next center of blockchain technology? A local group, the Austin Blockchain Collective, hopes so, and says it has created a group to help advanced blockchain-based education to the local community, and to help growt he ecosystem. The group--spreadheaded by Wanchain--also includes Multicoin Capital, Capital Factory, Lighthouse Partners, Laurence Ventures, Factom, Decred, Steemit, TEN Capital Group, DecentraNet, AMSYS Blockchain, Austin.city, Algebraix Data, Williams Technology Group, SeriesX, UlaHealth, Kilroy Blockchain, Chain Business Insights, GovernanceChain, Hatch Crypto and Windmill Enterprise. The group says it wants to make "Austin the global blockchain force we know it can be." Blockchain is the underlying technology behind Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.
