E2open Pushes Forward On Hostile Acquisition Of Amber Road
Austin-based supply chain management software developer E2open said this morning that it is still looking to acquire competitor Amber Road, in a deal worth $10.50 per share in cash--or approximately $300M. E2open, which made its initial offer for Amber Road in February, says that so far it has been "unable to establish a substantive dialogue" with the board of Amber Road, despite "repeated outreach". E2open released a letter to Amber Road's board, saying the body of "declined our repeated offers to engage in substantive discussions... on the merits of our proposal". E2open said it has set a deadline on its offer of March 30th.
