Xplore Acquired By Zebra Technologies For $90M

Austin-based Xplore Technologies, which manufactures rugged and semi-rugged tablets, laptops, and accessories, is being acquired by Illinois-based Zebra Technologies, the two said on Thursday. According to the two, Zebra will pay $6.00 per share in cash for Xplore, or approximately $90M. Twenty-two year old Xplore had reenues of $87M for the 12 month period ended March 31, 2018, according to the firms. The company's rugged tablets and laptops are widely used in such markets as the retail, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, healthcare, plus oil and gas, utility, government, and public safety markets.
