Airbnb Launches Open Homes For Texas Flood Victims
Airbnb has launched its "open homes" program in Texas on Friday, saying that will let people list their rooms on the site for victims of the flooding across Central Texas, According to Airbnb, local residents in Central Texas can both list their homes and rooms in their homes as available for evacuees, as well as find available rooms if they've been forced out of their homes. The service is a reprise of the site for Airbnb, which also had opened up the site last year during Hurricane Harvey. The ongoing floods this week have destroyed a bridge along the Llano River, and has sent Lake Travis to its highest level in more than 21 years, with more rain expected this weekend.
