GameSalad Wins Brownsville School District
Austin-based game development software maker GameSalad has signed a deal to offer up its software to the Brownsville Independent School District, according to the company. According to GameSalad, the school district will use its software to enhance its Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics (STEM) Education. Financial details of the win were not announced. GameSalad said that the district is first district in the state of Texas to make this computer science software available to all of its middle school students. GameSalad develops software which allows anyone to program game apps, without having to know how to program; the company's tools have become popular with schools for teaching computer science techniques and concepts.
