Firebrand Ventures Expands To Austin

Venture capital investor Firebrand Ventures said on Tuesday that it has expanded to Austin, hiring Ryan Merket as a Partner at its new office in Austin. Firebrand said Merket previously has served as Senior Designer and Developer at CBS, worked on Reddit's ad products, and spent time at Amazon, mentoring and advising startup founders at Y Combinator and Techstars. Firebrand focuses on investments in the Midwest, and specifically looks at seed stage software startups.
