Techstars Impact Kicks Off 2019 Class
Techstars Impact, the startup accelerator program run in Austin by Techstars for "impact" companies which help improve the world in some way, launched its 2019 class on Monday, saying it has added ten companies to the accelerator, which runs over the next three months. According to Techstars, the new class includes companies from as far away as Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Ghana, and Nigeria. At least two of the companies are from Austin. The companies include AgHelp (connecting labor to farms); Creation Crate (subscription STEM box); Cowtribe (last mile vaccine delivery and payment for African farmers); Don't Get Mad Get Paid (collection of overdue child support payments); Drugviu (population health platform for communities of color); MR Presta (LATAM-focused lending); Omaiven Health (patient engagement software); R3 Score (alternative background check for those with a criminal record); VitalFlo Health (asthma management); and Wella Health (micro insurance for Nigeria). MR Presta and Omaiven are based in Austin.
