Whale Shark Media Raises $18M

Austin-based Whale Shark Media, the operator of a portfolio of coupon and deal sites, has raised another $18.0M in an equity funding, according to a regulatory filing from the firm today. According to the filing, the funding round opened August 12th, and included 11 investors. Details on the funding have not yet been announced by the company. It looks as if the round came in closely timed with the acquisition of VoucherCodes.co.uk, a UK-based coupon site. Whale Shark's investors include Austin Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Adams Street Partners, and Google Ventures. More information »
