Xtreme Power Shuffles CEO

Kyle, Texas-based Xtreme Power, the developer of energy storage products, said today that it has named Alan J. Gotcher, Ph.D., to president and CEO of the firm. Gotcher also joins its board. Former CEO and co-founder Carlos Coe becomes Chairman of the board. Gotcher has been at Xtreme Power since last year, when he joined at Chief Technology Officer; he had previously served at Altair Nanotechnologies. According to reports, the firm is also seeking $20M more in financing. The firm is venture backed by SAIL Capital Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, The Dow Chemical Company, Fluor Corp., BP Alternative Energy, Dominion Resources, POSCO ICT, SkyLake & Co. and Spring Ventures.
