Dell Buys Silverback Technologies

Round Rock, Texas-based Dell said Wednesday afternoon that it is in an agreement to acquire SilverBack Technologies, a provider of software for remote monitoring of servers, storage, networks, desktops, and notebooks. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dell said it plans to leverage SilverBack Technologies into its operations. Billerica, Mass.-based Silverback is venture backed by Prism VentureWorks, North Bridge Venture Partners, Ironside Ventures, Matrix Partners, and Spectrum Equity Investors.
