DigiPath Solutions Acquired By AccelPath

Spring, Texas-based DigiPath Solutions, a provider of digital telepathology and laboratory development and management services, has been acquired by Maryland company AccelPath. AccelPath said the deal was worth $2.5M, in a combination of cash, 1,250 shares of its convertible preferred stock, and a promissory note. AccelPath--which is traded OTCBB--said DigiPath operates six pathology laboratories for eight customers in Houston, and had revenues of $1.1M for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012. Rishi Reddy, founder of CEO of DigiPath, joins Accelpath's medical advisory board.
