E2open Buys Zyme

Austin-based E2open has agreed to acquired channel data management software developer Zyme, the company said this morning. Financial details of the transaction were not announced. Zyme's software is used to track sales, rebates and marketing promotions in the channel, and counts such customers as Amazon, Dell, Fujitsu, GE, Microsoft, Plantronics, Seagate, Symantec, VMware, and Xerox. Zyme was based in Redwood City, California, and also had a location in Austin. Zyme was owned by Insight Venture Partners, which had just recently acquired Zyme in April in a $100M deal.
