FORE Transcriptions Acquired By iMedX

El Paso-based FORE Transcriptions USA Inc., a provider of medical transcription services, has been acquired by Shelton, Connecticut-based iMedX, a provider of healthcare software and services. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to iMedX, it has both acquired FORE and its Indian operations. iMedX said the acquisition will help add FORE's Southwestern Texas customers to its customer base, and also enhance its global transcription production capacity in India. FORE currently serves around 100 physician offices.
