GameStop Buys Norway Retailer

Grapevine-based GameStop said this morning that it has agreed to purchase 100% of Norway firm Free Record Shop. Free Record operates a retail chain of 49 locations in the Nordic region. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. GameStop, which is a retailer of video games and entertaiment software, said the acquisition will give it a total of 160 locations throughout Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
