Mood Media Names CEO

Austin-based Mood Media, which provides in-store media and music, said this morning that it has named David Hoodis as CEO of the company. Hoodis was previously at IRI as President, Retail. He also previously served as VP of Software Strategy and Innovation at NCR, CEO and Co-founder of Snack Box, President and Chief Operating Officer of Modell's Sporting Goods, and VP of Innovation and Operations at Wal-Mart. He also serves on the boards of Freshub, Systems Alliance and Natural Insight. The appointment comes two months after the sudden departure of the company's prior CEO and President.
