PocketCab Acquired By Houston Taxi Company

PocketCab, a Indianapolis, Indiana-based technology startup developing mobile apps for connecting passengers with taxi companies, has been acquired by the owner of a Sugar Land-based taxi company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to the operator of Sugar Land Taxi, First Colony Taxi, Rose Rich Taxi, Cinco Ranch Taxi and 713-TOWN-CAR, Edmund D. Samora, he has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to acquire PocketCab, which makes mobile apps which are similar to Uber and other smartphone-based, transportation applications.
