SemiSouth Hires Two Execs

Austin-based SemiSouth Laboratories, a developer of silicon carbide (SiC) based chips for the power semiconductor market, said it has hired two VPs today. The firm said it has hired Chris Thompson as VP of Marketing, and Dan Schwob as VP Sales. Thompson joins the firm from Advanced Energy Industries, and has also served at Xantrex Technology and American Power Conversion. Schwob joins from iWatt, and has also served at IXYS. The firm said the addition of the two will bring "decades" of experience in the solar, wind, and power electronics markets to the firm.
