New $100M Fund Focuses On Texas Companies
A new, $100M venture capital fund has been formed focusing on nanotechnology in Texas. The new fund, Texas Nanotech Ventures, said that it will focus on the state of Texas and the global nanotechnology industry. The new fund is headed by Thomas B. Pickens III, who is announcing the new fund tomorrow at the Rice Alliance Nanotechnology Venture Forum. The fund said that it will be the largest venture capital fund in Texas devoted entirely to supporting nanotechnology commercialization and investing in Texas-based nanotechnology companies and entrepreneurs.
