HomeAway Acquires VacationRentals.com

Austin, Texas-based HomeAway said Friday afternoon that it has acquired VacationRentals.com. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. HomeAway operates a network of Internet properties focused on vacation rentals, including HomeAway.com, VRBO.com, CyberRentals.com, GreatRentals.com, A1Vacations.com, TripHomes.com, Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, HolidayRentals.fr, FeWo-direkt.de, HomeAway.es and Abritel.fr. The firm is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, American Capital, Institutional Venture Partners and Trident Capital.
