HomeAway Acquires Dwellable
Austin-based vacation rental marketplace HomeAway said late Wednesday afternoon that it has acquired Dwellable, a developer of a mobile, vacation rental search engine. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced by the companies. As part of the acquisition, HomeAway will shut down Dwellable, transitioning users to HomeAway's own services, and moving Dwellable's team to Austin to work on other HomeAway products. Dwellable was venture backed by Maveron Ventures, Version One Ventures, plus angels, and had arised around $2M; Rob Solomon, one of HomeAway's board members, is an angel investor in Dwellable.
