Seismic Micro-Technology Gets Strategic Funding

Houston, Texas-based Seismic Micro-Technology Inc., a developer of Windows-based geophysical and geological interpretation software, announced Wednesday that it has received recapitalization investments from Technology Crossover Ventures and JMI Equity. The funding amounts were not disclosed. SMT said the capital, which represents its first institutional round of funding, will be used to enhance product development and to expand international operations.
