Navini, ASUS to Offer WiMAX Certified Modems

Navini Networks, a manufacturer of wireless networking components, reported Wednesday that it will work with Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS to develop certified Mobile WiMAX modems to be marketed under Navini's Ripwave brand. Navini said the modems will use chips from several vendors and will support key Mobile WiMAX features such as Beamforming and MIMO Matrix A. Navini also said the memorandum of understanding between it and ASUS includes a commitment to Mobile WiMAX interoperability certification from the WiMAX Forum certification test labs. Navini Networks is headquartered in Richardson, Texas.
