Navini Announces WiMax Devices
Richardson, Texas-based Navini Networks announced its Mobile WiMAX device portfolio, saying today that it will ship three new products based on the emerging wireless standard. Navini said that its "Surfer" line of product will use OFDMA (802.16e) technology, which will provide its customers with WiMax certified modems for the new wireless standard. The new devices will include a desktop modem, a USB mobile device, and a voice-enabled, VoIP modem. Navini is venture backed by Arcapita Ventures, Austin Ventures, Granite Ventures, Investor Growth Capital, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners, Sternhill Partners, Intel Capital, Motorola Ventures, and Scottwood Capital
