Wayport, Yahoo! Team For Wi-Fi Portal

Austin, Texas-based Wayport said today that it has partnered with Yahoo! to provide a Wi-Fi portal for the hospitality market. According to Wayport, the multi-year partnership calls for Yahoo! to be the exclusive portal provider for Wayport's U.S. network. The deal includes both sponsored search, display advertising, and shopping services, under a revenue share deal between Wayport and hotels who use Wayport's WiFi services. Wayport said the portal will include localized experience with Yahoo, using geographical information about where hotel guests are staying. Wayport is a provider of wired and wireless Internet access at hotels and other locations.
