WhiteFence Inks Deal With Utility Firm

WhiteFence, a comparison-shopping Web site for residential utilities and other services, announced Thursday that it will develop a Web site for NSTAR, a utility company that delivers electricity and natural gas to 1.4 million customers in Massachusetts. WhiteFence said the proposed Web site will be an "online move center" that will enable NSTAR customers to set up other services—such as phone and cable—after they've established their electric and gas accounts. WhiteFence said it has developed similar Web sites for AT&T, ComEd, Green Mountain Energy, TXU, SoCal Ed and Nevada Power. WhiteFence is a privately held company based in Houston.
