Match.com Adds Mobile Dating Features
Online dating service Match.com revealed Monday that it is now offering a wireless version of its relationship-oriented services. Called MatchMobile, the new feature allows Match.com members to receive free text alerts on their cell phones whenever prospective suitors express interest. Customers may also use their cell phones to browse profiles, Match.com said, adding that members must pay an additional $4.99 per month if they wish to read and respond to e-mails via their cell phones. Match.com said MatchMobile debuted in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom on Monday, and that the service will launch in nine additional countries by year’s end. Match.com is headquartered in Dallas, Texas and is a unit of Barry Diller's IAC/Interactive.
