FameCast Opens New Season

Austin, Texas-based FameCast, the venture-backed talent startup which recently raised $4.5M from Austin Ventures, said Tuesday afternoon that the company has launched the third season of its online talent contest. The site, which allows people to upload videos for a chance to win $10,000, said that it will open up submissions starting September 3rd. Fans on the site determine which artists advance in the competition. FameCast said that it will award $120,000 to artists this season. The firm also announced 12 winners for the company's Season 2 talent contest.
