Austin Ventures Adds Marengi As Venture Partner

Austin, Texas-based venture capital firm Austin Ventures said this morning that it has added Joe Marengi as a Venture Partner at the firm. Marengi was most recently SVP and General Manager of Dell Americas, where he was in charge of all of Dell's operations in the America's region. Marengi has also previously served as President and COO of Novell. Austin Ventures said that Marengi will be based in Austin and will evaluate deals throughout the United States and internationally for the firm; the venture firm said Marengi will work with LifeSize Communications, Sipera Systems, and Copan Systems in addition to evaluating investment opportunities.
