Uplogix Names VPs

Uplogix, a provider of remote network security and management services, announced yesterday that it has hired two vice presidents to lead its sales and marketing efforts. The Austin, Texas-based company said it has named Mark Piening, previously a senior director at Symantec, as its vice president of marketing. Uplogix added that it has appointed Jeff Moore, who previously oversaw worldwide sales for RF Code, as vice president of sales for the Western United States. Prior to Symantec, Piening worked for VERITAS Software, Dell, DIGEX and Ernst & Young, Uplogix said. The privately held company also noted that Moore, prior to his stint with RF Code, worked for NetBotz Inc., Apogee Networks, Marconi Wireless, Siemens and AT&T Wireless.
