RipCode Ties Into Adobe
Dallas, Texas-based RipCode, a provider of transcoding alliances and technology, said Thursday that it has joined a program with Adobe for Flash Media developers. RipCode, which is venture backed by Hunt Ventures, Vesbridge Partners, El Dorado Ventures and ATA Ventures, said that joining the program will help it to insure compatibility between media transcoded by its products and Dobe's Flash Media Server. RipCode said it intends to support Adobe's Flash Media Server 3 and Adobe's Flash Player 9 with H.264 support. RipCode provides appliances that translate video between different video encoding formats, which is known as video transcoding. The firm's products are available as a network appliance.
