RipCode Bolsters Transcoding Software

Austin-based RipCode said earlier this week that it has rolled out a new product targeted at video transcoding. The firm said its new On-Demand Signaling Server handles network and workflow management for multiple RipCode transcoding appliances. The new software application runs on the Linux operating system. According to RipCode, the software handles load balancing, content distribution, and integration with third party applications. RipCode is venture backed by Hunt Ventures, Vesbridge Partners, El Dorado Ventures and ATA Ventures.
