RipCode Taps TI For Transcoding App
Dallas-based Ripcode and Texas Instruments said today that they have built a digital signal processor-based, video transcoding alliance based on TI's DaVinci processors. According to the firms, RiCode is using TI's chips in its RipCode V4 appliance. RipCode is a venture backed startup developing high throughput video transcoding appliances, used for translating between different video encoding formats. The firm is backed by Hunt Ventures, Vesbridge Partners, El Dorado Ventures and ATA Ventures.
