TPG Taps Lenovo For Partner

Fort Worth, Texas-based private equity firm TPG said Friday morning that it has named the former CFO of Lenovo as a Partner and Managing Director at the firm. TPG said that Mary Ma will join the firm, focused on the company's China business. Ma was SVP, executive director, and CFO of Lenovo until her retirement earlier this year. TPG said that Ma will focus on generating investment opportunities, advising portfolio companies and management teams on strategic and operating issues, and building long-term relationships with Chinese business leaders.
