Macheen Links With Lenovo

Austin-based Macheen, the cloud-based service which helps connect laptops and other devices to the Internet, said it has linked with Lenovo. Macheen, which is headed by Richard Schwartz and venture backed by North Bridge Venture Capital, DFJ Mercury, and angels, said Lenovo has become an Enrollment Partner on its platform. Macheen will power the Lenovo Mobile Access service, which lets ThinkPad Classic and ThinkPad Edge laptop users to give those devices "always-on" Internet access. Macheen's services are aimed at providing Internet access to laptops and electronic devices with access to the Internet transparently via multiple, wireless networks and providers. None of the financial details of the deal were announced.
