Quickoffice Names Masarek CEO

Dallas, Texas-based Quickoffice Inc., a publisher of office productivity software for mobile devices, reported Monday that company co-founder and former chief financial officer Alan Masarek has been elevated to chief executive officer. In his new role, Quickoffice explained, Masarek will supervise the company’s aggressive growth timeline, which includes its upcoming introduction of server-based applications. Masarek replaces Barry Cottle, who will remain on Quickoffice's board of directors. The promotion marks Quickoffice as the fourth technology-based company that Masarek has led, Quickoffice noted.
