Quickoffice Buys Mobile Software Firm
Dallas-based mobile business software publisher Quickoffice Inc. announced Monday that it has acquired DynoPlex, a developer of mobile office document management applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Quickoffice said the acquisition will strengthen its position as a mobile office software provider for several major platforms, including Symbian S60, UIQ, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iPhone and Google Android. Additionally, Quickoffice said DynoPlex recently unveiled the first native Microsoft Office suite for BlackBerry hand-held devices. Quickoffice is a privately held company with additional offices in London and Ottawa, Canada. DynoPlex is headquartered in New York.
