Austin Tops Blog Usage Cities

According to a report released Wednesday, Austin, Texas is the top city for bloggers, with fifteen percent of adults in Austin reading or writing blogs. The report, from Scarborough Research, credited the high percent of people using and writing blogs to Austin's high internet connectivity and high-tech economy. The report did not break down the number of blog readers versus blog authors. Scarborough did not give details behind the study, and, unlike conventional usage of the term, also defined "bloggers" as both those who read and write blogs. Scarborough Research is a joint venture of Arbitron and the Nielsen Company.
