Vertical Alliance Acquired By Flash Seats

Dallas-based Vertical Alliance, a provider of online ticketing technology, has been acquired by Flash Seats. Cleveland-based Flash Seats did not disclose financial terms of the acquisition. Vertical Alliance provides technology for ticket, customer relationship marketing, merchandising, and e-commerce for sports teams; the firm's customers include the Houston Rockets, the Houston Toyota Center, Boise State University, and Texas A&M. According to Flash Seats, the firm is owned by an investor group headed by Dan Gilbert, Chairman and Founder of Quicken Loans; Gilbert is a majority owner of the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers, and the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters.
