Neverfail Signs Houston Transit Authority
Disaster recovery software developer the Neverfail Group revealed Wednesday that it is licensing its Continuous Availability server-protection application to the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Neverfail said its software will help protect the transit authority's METROLift dispatch and schedule system, which serves more than 5,500 elderly and disabled commuters each day. In the event of a power failure, natural disaster or some other event that would otherwise cause the transit authority's primary server to fail, Neverfail explained, its software will kick in and switch digital traffic to the secondary server. The Neverfail Group is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
