Dell Hooks Into CO2 Reporting Efforts
Round Rock-based Dell said this morning that the firm has joined an effort to report carbon emissions from its suppliers, the Carbon Disclosure Project's Supply Chain Leadership Collaboration (SCLC). The group provides methodology for Dell's suppliers to report their CO2 emissions. Dell said the move was a part of its commitment to become "the greenest technology company on earth." The SCLC allows the supply chains of its member companies to report greenhouse gas emissions, emissions reduction targets, and climate-change strategy. The Carbon Disclosure Project is a nonprofit, special project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.
