Dell Stockholders Give Nod To Acquisition
It's official: Dell stockholders have officially given their nod to the company's acquisition by Michael Dell and Silver Lake Partners, Dell announced Thursday. The stockholders approved the $13.88 per share cash deal for Dell, which is worth $24.9 billion. The approval comes after a long and drawn out drama between Dell and Carl Icahn, who withdrew his efforts to oppose the deal earlier this week. Round Rock-based Dell expects the deal to close before the end of the company's third quarter of its 2014 fiscal year.
