Dell Buy Of Quest Gets Approval From Quest Stockholders

The acquisition of Quest Software by Round Rock-based Dell has progressed another step, after Quest Software's stockholders approved the acquisition of Quest by Dell yesterday afternoon. According to Quest, its stockholders approved the buy in a stockholder meeting. Dell is paying $2.4 billion for Quest, a maker of IT management software. The deal had originally been announced in July, and the companies have been jumping through the various regulatory hoops involved in large mergers and acquisitions since then.
