Dell In Talks To Buy Quest Software

Round Rock-based Dell seems to be in an acquisitive mood, and according to reports this morning is now looking at acquiring enterprise IT software maker Quest Software. No details on the potential acquisition have been announced. Quest is in the midst of going private in a $2 billion deal with Insight Venture Partners. Quest is based in Aliso Viejo, California. Reports of the effort came from BusinessWeek this morning.
