XLGames Gets Investment

XLGames, which maintains game development offices in Austin, has scored a round of funding from GigaMedia Limited, a Taiwan-based online entertainment software firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. XL Games develops massively multiplayer, online role playing games (MMORPGS), and was founded in Seoul, Korea. The firm's Austin offices develops titles for the American market. XLGames is headed by Jake Song, who was the creator of the MMORPG The Kingdom of the Winds when he was at NCsoft. More information »
