Entrust to Protect Saudi Arabia's Data, E-Mail

Dallas-based Entrust Inc., a provider of network data security services, reported Tuesday that it will handle data encryption and e-mail security responsibilities for the Saudi Arabian government. Entrust did not provide details of the finances behind the deal. Specifically, Entrust said Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology will use Entrust’s Authority PKI and Entelligence Messaging Server applications for encryption and digital certification. These functions, Entrust explained, will underpin the kingdom's national ID project while protecting its e-mail communications. Moammar Information Systems will serve as Entrust's local partner for the deal, Entrust added.
