RIM Selects Dallas For HQ
Research In Motion, maker of the popular Blackberry mobile device, said Monday that it has selected Irving, Texas for its U.S. headquarters. The move is expected to bring more than 1,000 people to the region. According to Research In Motion and local officials, the positions will include research and development, technical support, business operations and administration roles. The firm will open its headquarters in the Las Colinas' Riverside Commons, a six-building office, 13-acre campus near Highway 114 and Riverside Drive.
