SemiSouth Names President and CEO

Austin-based SemiSouth, a developer of silicon carbide semiconductors, said Friday that it has appointed Vess Johnson as the firm's President and CEO. Johnson joins the firm from Nascentric, where he was President and CEO. Johnson has also served at Silicon Metrics, Magma Design Automation, Omniview Design Automation, Xynetix, and Cellular Sessions. The appointment of Johnson follows Semisouth's headquarters move from Starkville, Mississippi last week.
