SolarWinds Rolls New Network Monitoring Software

Austin-based SolarWinds, a developer of network management software, said Monday that it has rolled out a new network monitoring product specifically targeted at small and medium sized businesses. The firm said its ipMonitor v9.0 product monitors networks with less than 500 managed devices, and collects and monitors network devices and software applications. The software starts at $1,495, and monitors network devices, Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, Web servers, and other software applications. SolarWinds is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Bain Capital, and Insight Venture Partners.
